I love this Flight tenor ukulele! It is very similar in its dimensions and feel to the Kala travel tenor ukulele, and this new model from Flight sounds wonderful both plugged in, and unplugged.

The solid cedar top gives life to its thin body dimensions, making a really full and loud sound which loses nothing at all when compared against deeper bodied tenors. And when plugged in, the double B1U pickup with the tone and volume controls in the soundhole is a really good bit of kit - I suspect that you'll be a hearing a lot more from double pickups in the near future.

Flight are a brand who are really going places. They seem to have a real knack for offering the right features and designs at the right price. And the price of this tenor ukulele is quite out standing, compared to offerings from other brands - £189 for an instrument this good, with such a good pickup and a solid cedar top, and a decent gigbag? Yes please!

You have to forgive the odd cosmetic issue here and there, that you find with any Chinese factory made instrument, but as a whole this package is absolutely superb value, and the Leia is suitable as a daily playing instrument, and not just an occasional travel companion!

Note: The Flight ukuleles are a fantastic choice at this particular price point because they often offer extra features and striking wood that defy the expectations of this price. However, they do suffer from cosmetic flaws and small finish defects like other Chinese made production instruments. We do our best to capture major issues but you may find some small imperfections on close inspection that cannot be avoided.
